Dining chairs need some update...how about paint!

I think this set of yard sale dining chairs are ready for an update. The stain and finish on the chairs has seen their better days. What better time for a project like this, than on a cold, snowy day.

After two coats of gray paint. They look better than before, but still need something...maybe some chair pads. Thanks to Layla at The Lettered Cottage for her paint choices Shermin Williams "Attitude Gray". The table legs are next!

These cute retro valentine cut outs were a gift to me from Laura at The Busy Bee. Laura has mounted and sealed the prints to heart shaped wood cut outs. I am going to hot glue spring type clothes pins to the back for maybe clipping to an indoor valentine decorated tree or I might clip them to a chicken wire bulletin board.

These are soooo cute. I love retro cards and prints. It's time to start decorating for Valentine's Day, only a little more than a month away and what better time to decorate for a holiday than a cloudy, snowy day.

Thanks Laura...and check out her blogspot. She has some really wonderful scrap book card and tag ideas. She is also great at cake decorating designs.

Table Update Part 2

After a couple of coats of dark charcoal satin finish paint...the table looks entirely updated. I just love seeing old items transformed into something new again.

It's amazing what a coat of paint can do!!!

This was a $5.00 yard sale table. I love the size of the table and it is in fairly good shape, but needs some type of update.
